In 2004 I graduated from a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Jewellery, from Auckland's Unitec intstitute.

I enjoy the practicalities of metal-working and the processes involved in manipulating metal. I particularly love the challenge of working on such a small scale, creating tiny details to give each piece individuality and character.

My fascination with the miniature is reflected in the 'Charmed Collection', which playfully references the modern woman's wants and vices, communicated through feminine hand-made charms. Each piece embellished with fun and vivacity. I am interested in the concept of the charm itself and the intimate significance it can represent to its wearer.

A charm can spark memories of another time and place, or commemorate a milestone. A collection of charms on a bracelet can create a dialogue of the wearer's passions or travels.

I like the idea that my charms will take on new meaning with each new wearer.
